Miller Brothers

About Miller Brothers

Stanford sits in the open prairie of McLean County, where the fields run flat to the horizon and nothing slows the January wind on its way across them. After a snowfall that wind keeps working, packing drifts against fences and drawing fresh ridges across driveways almost as soon as they are scraped. Miller Brothers handle snow removal in that weather, opening lanes and front walks so the village can get out to work and school. In summer the same big sky turns warm and generous, and the work becomes lawn care, mowing yards into neat green squares beside the long rows of corn and beans. Two seasons, one small village, and a great deal of sky over both.
