Weiss Lawn Services

About Weiss Lawn Services

Winter arrives in Springfield out of the open west, with nothing between the prairie and a driveway but a fence line and a little luck. Weiss Lawn Services works the dark end of those mornings, plowing and shoveling and spreading salt so that the first car out of the garage rolls onto bare pavement instead of a rut. When the ice lets go and Lake Springfield turns from steel to blue again, the same crew comes back with mowers and trimmers, and the grass begins its long climb toward July. There is real satisfaction in a lawn cut straight, edged clean along the walk, the clippings gone and the corners squared. Come autumn the maples let loose all at once and the work turns to leaves, hauled off before the first hard freeze puts them under. Snow removal and lawn care, one town, all the way around the calendar.
