About Scooter's Lawn Care, Inc.

There is a moment at dawn on the west side, out past Wabash Avenue, when a plowed drive still steams a little and the asphalt shows black against all that white. Ron Furman & Sons Paving works Springfield winters, plowing driveways and lots, clearing walkways, and salting where meltwater runs and refreezes at the apron. Snow sits differently on pavement than on gravel, and knowing where to set the blade is the difference between clean and gouged. Sangamon County storms tend to finish with wind, so the last pass matters as much as the first. A drive taken down to the surface with its edges square is a thing worth getting up early for.
