About H R Boyd Inc

The ground around Spring Grove still remembers the ice: kames and kettles, low hills and hollows that gather drifting snow between the hedgerows. H R Boyd Inc runs the winter work through that country, plowing drives and lots, clearing walks down to pavement, salting the spots that freeze back overnight. Three in the morning is an ordinary hour in January, headlights full of falling flakes and the plow throwing a long white wing. Driveways this far out are lonely and long, and opening one is a genuine errand. The payoff is a car that gets out on time and a walk nobody has to think twice about.
