About Lawn barbers

There is a barber's eye in good lawn work: the even pass, the sharp line at the collar, the step back to check it all from the curb. Lawn barbers bring that eye to Spring Grove, where summer grass grows thick near the bends of Nippersink Creek and a fresh cut can make a whole block look newly combed. The tools change in winter, but the habit does not. When a storm blows through overnight, the crew turns to snow removal and has drives open before the first headlights back out. Sharp edges in July, bare pavement in January: the same well-groomed instinct in two kinds of weather.
