About Lexis Outdoor Services

South Roxana lies out on the American Bottom, the wide flat shelf the Mississippi laid down, with the bluffs standing off to the east like a low wall. Lexis Outdoor Services works the yards and drives there through the full turn of the year: mowing, trimming and cleanups when bottomland grass grows faster than anyone plans for, then plowing and salting when river fog freezes onto pavement overnight. The night sky here carries a faint glow off the river plants, and a cleared drive under that light looks like an invitation. Bottom ground drains slowly, so timing a cut right — after the dew burns off, before the afternoon storm — is most of the craft. Handled that way, a lawn comes back thicker with every pass.
