The Mississippi bends and runs nearly east to west past the Quad Cities, so South Moline takes its sunrises up the river and its worst weather straight across it. Chad's lawn care and snow removal splits the year at the middle: mowing, trimming, edging and yard cleanups through the growing months, then plowing, shoveling and salting once the ground has gone hard. The changeover is a real date on the calendar, when the mower comes off and the plow goes on and the same driveways start getting a different kind of attention. Both halves finish the same way, with a property that plainly looks tended, green and squared off in July, cleared right down to the pavement in January.
