Ladies in Orange

About Ladies in Orange

In South Dixon Township, a February storm can whiten the farmland south of the Rock River within the hour, and the plowing has to keep pace. Ladies in Orange takes on snow removal through those storms, opening driveways and walks so people can get into Dixon and home again. Snow out on these flat Lee County acres tends to come sideways, drifting across the roads between the fields, so clearing it is a matter of persistence. There is real satisfaction in a driveway scraped down to dry pavement while the fields around it are still white.
