Grasshoppers Lawn Services

About Grasshoppers Lawn Services

At Rock Island the Mississippi does something unexpected, bending to flow west for a stretch past the Quad Cities while Arsenal Island splits the current and barges ease through the lock. Grasshoppers Lawn Services works the lawns of this old river city, from the hillside neighborhoods above downtown to the yards closer to the water. In July the grass hums with the very insects the business is named for, and the river's humid breath makes everything grow. A Grasshoppers lawn is cut low and even, its edges sharp enough to catch the eye from the street.
