About Porters Outdoor Solutions

October along the old Lincoln Highway is the hinge of the year — the maples over Rock Falls go loud, and the first hard frost is somewhere in next week's forecast. Porters Outdoor Solutions works right through that turn: finishing the mowing season with clean cuts, tight trim lines and edges held true, then hanging the plows for driveways, lots, walks and steps once the first system comes down out of the northwest. Salt goes where the ice sets up, and the routes start hours before anybody has to be anywhere. Reading the sky and being ready ahead of it is most of the trick. Rock Falls doesn't slow down for weather, so the work doesn't either.
