Baber Service Company

About Baber Service Company

Out in the Rock Creek and Lima country the ground rolls hard toward the Mississippi, and on cool mornings the fog lies in the draws until the sun burns it off the bluffs. Baber Service Company mows the hilltop places and crossroads houses of that Adams County landscape — cutting across the slope where it needs it, trimming close along fence lines and outbuildings, edging what pavement there is, and picking up after itself when the job's done. Country lawns run big and uneven, and keeping one looking level takes more thought than a square in town. When the fog lifts and the grass stands cut and clean above the river valley, it's worth the early start. That view doesn't get old.
