About Kev's Kans

Saturday mornings in Roanoke are quiet enough to hear a mower two streets over. Kev's Kans is often that sound, working the short village blocks: lawns cut on a steady cycle, trimmed along fences and foundations, edged where the turf keeps trying to take back the sidewalk. Clippings come off the concrete rather than washing into the gutter with the next rain. Nothing about it is complicated. It is arriving when you said you would and finishing the details people notice only when they are missing, and by noon the block looks like somebody cares about it, because somebody does.
