About Sprout Outdoor Services

There is a week in June when Ridott smells of cut grass and warm gravel at once, and the light hangs on past nine o'clock. Sprout Outdoor Services keeps village lawns and country yards on rhythm through it — mowing, trimming along the fence lines and foundations, edging the walks, and hauling off clippings and debris. Come the turn of the year the same trucks carry blade and salt instead, clearing drives and walkways so the morning starts on time no matter what came down overnight. Two halves of one year in one place: the Pecatonica bottomland green to the tree line, then quiet and white. The pleasure is in handing a yard back looking cared for, whatever the month.
