About SubZero Snow & Ice Control, Inc.

Cold in Rich Township has a particular quality after midnight — dry, still, the parking lots ringing under a plow blade, streetlights turning the flurries into long orange cones. SubZero Snow & Ice Control, Inc. works those hours: plowing drives and lots down to the pavement, clearing walks and entryways, and spreading salt against the refreeze that follows a sunny afternoon. Ice is the sneakier half of the job — snow you can see, but a black glaze at the bottom of an approach you cannot. Storms come across the prairie southwest of the city with plenty of room to organize themselves. By the time the first cars turn in at daylight, the lot is already open.
