About Rice Family Lawn & Snow Services +

East of Quincy the county lays out long and level, and the wind crosses it with nothing in the way but a fence row. October turns the fields to paper and starts piling leaves against every hedge and gate — that is the season Rice Family Lawn & Snow Services works hardest, hauling a yard back down to clean turf before the ground goes hard. Then the first freeze arrives, and the same trucks are out at four in the morning opening gravel drives and country lanes so nobody is stuck waiting on daylight. Summer is the steady half of it: mowing, trimming, edging, week after week, so a place never gets away from its owner. Quincy and the towns strung out along the Adams County roads all get the same rounds.
