A Saturday in Quincy sounds like ball games carrying over from the park and mowers working their way up the side streets. The Lawn Guys keep that sound going all summer — cutting, trimming around posts and play sets, edging where the turf tries to creep over the drive, then sweeping the walk so the yard reads finished from the street. In December the noise changes to a plow scraping down the same block before anyone has scraped a windshield, with the walk shoveled and treated behind it. Both halves of the year come down to the same idea: a place you can step out into without thinking about it. Quincy and the neighboring Adams County towns are the whole territory.
