Walsh Sealcoating And Snow Removal

About Walsh Sealcoating And Snow Removal

Snow arrives in Proviso on a north wind at some hour nobody chose — often two or three in the morning, sideways under the streetlights, filling the driveway apron faster than it fills the yard. Walsh Sealcoating And Snow Removal is out in it: plowing, shoveling walks and steps, salting the ice that sets up where the downspout drains across the concrete. By the time the Eisenhower starts to hum and Mannheim Road fills with headlights, the drives are open and dark and the cars back out without a second thought. When the warm months come around, the same blacktop gets the other half of the work — driveway and lot sealcoating, the surface laid back down even and black under an August sun. It is unglamorous labor, and it is the reason a whole street gets where it is going.
