About Ross & Jack's Landscaping Inc

September is the underrated month in this part of Cook County — nights cooling, the sun off the Madison Street storefronts turning amber by five, and turf that finally wants to grow again after a hard August. Ross & Jack's Landscaping Inc leans into it: cutting back to a healthy height, clearing the thatch and early leaf drop, edging the walks that summer blurred, tidying beds so the yard heads into autumn tight and clean. Then the fall cleanup, then the long wait, then the whole green business starts over. Mowing, trimming, edging and seasonal cleanups, week in and week out, on the compact lots of a township built close to its sidewalks. A lawn that finishes the season strong is the best argument for the work. It shows up again in April on its own.
