Hugo’s Lawn and Landscape

About Hugo’s Lawn and Landscape

The backyards of Proviso Township are a serious business in spring — tomato rows staked, a grape arbor leafing out, roses cut back hard and already thinking about June. Hugo's Lawn and Landscape works around all of it, mowing the narrow strip between the garden and the garage without clipping a single stem, trimming close to the fence, keeping the beds edged so the planting stands out instead of blurring into turf. Anyone who grows things in a yard this size notices whether the person cutting the grass respects it, and that noticing is the whole job. Mowing, trimming, edging, bed care and the seasonal cleanups that make room for the next planting. In late May the whole block smells like cut grass and basil at the same time. That is a good afternoon's work behind it.
