A1 Mulch and Lawn care

About A1 Mulch and Lawn care

Under Proviso Township lies the black dirt of an old lake plain, flat and generous, and it pays back anyone willing to work it properly. A1 Mulch and Lawn care spends its Junes collecting that payment — beds forked open along a foundation line, mulch laid dark and even so the hostas seem to float on it, grass cut to a green that makes a whole brick two-flat look tended. There is a particular satisfaction in the moment the trimmer finishes and the line where lawn meets bed goes from vague to deliberate. West of the city the yards are modest and close together, which means every square foot shows, and every square foot gets the same attention. Mowing, trimming, edging, mulch, and the spring and fall cleanups that bracket the growing year — that is the whole honest list. By evening the sprinklers come on down the block and the work looks like it simply grew that way.
