About A Balderas Landscaping & Snow Removal Corp.

A clipper comes down on Prospect Heights overnight and by four in the morning the beacon over at the airfield is swinging through falling snow while the whole town is still dark. A Balderas Landscaping & Snow Removal Corp. is out in it, plowing driveways and lots along Camp McDonald and the streets that branch off it, then going back with a shovel for the walks and the steps and the strip in front of the garage door the plow can never quite honor. Salt goes down where the melt will refreeze before sunrise. The whole aim is that people wake up, look out, and find their morning already possible. When the sun finally comes up on cleared black pavement and untouched white lawns, that is the good part.
