About Ellmaker Excavating Corp

A clear night after a storm out along the Rock River gets genuinely cold, the sky hard with stars and the fields glowing faintly under all that new white. Ellmaker Excavating Corp works those hours, plowing drives and lots while the wind still pulls snow off the open ground and lays it back down across whatever was just cleared. Heavy accumulations and packed drift need equipment with some weight behind it, and the walks and doorways need attention too, salted so the morning is safe rather than merely open. There is something deeply satisfying about finishing a lot at three in the morning and seeing it black and bare under the yard lights. Prophetstown wakes up to it and thinks nothing of it. That is the point.
