Taylor's Way

About Taylor's Way

Evening on Grandview Drive, bluff falling away on one side and lights coming up in the valley, is a fine time to close out a route. Taylor's Way runs its own — mowing and trimming through the warm months, edging drives and walks along Prospect Road, carrying off the clippings, and then, once the year turns, plowing those same drives, shoveling the walks and salting shaded curves that never catch sun in January. Knowing a street through both halves of the year changes how you work it: you remember which apron holds ice, which slope needs a wider pass. Peoria repays that kind of attention. Same houses, same order, whatever the sky happens to be doing.
