About Altered Grounds Outdoor Services, LLC

Winter settles differently near Horseshoe Lake: damp river air, a fog that beads on every windshield, and a cold that finds the seams. Altered Grounds Outdoor Services, LLC plows through it, clearing lots and driveways around Pontoon Beach, opening sidewalks and entryways, and treating ice where the freeze comes back overnight. Metro East storms rarely announce themselves politely; sleet turns to snow turns to a glaze, sometimes inside an hour. The reading that matters is pavement temperature, not the calendar, and the trucks go when the pavement says go. By the time the first shift is rolling toward the interstate, the lots are open and the salt is already working.
