About Image Design & Landscape

Petersburg sits in the green folds above the Sangamon, a courthouse town of brick and old shade where the river bottoms keep their mist until midmorning. Image Design & Landscape works the lawns of these streets — cutting on a steady rotation, trimming around trunks and posts and stone, edging walks and beds so every boundary looks deliberate. Clippings come up, corners are finished, and a yard reads as designed rather than merely mowed. Menard County summers push grass hard after a rain and then dare it to hold through August, and the schedule answers both moods. The result is a place that looks looked-after from the sidewalk, which is where most people see it.
