About Stuart Tree Services

Peru drops off its bluff toward the Illinois River in a hurry, past the old canal line and into sandstone country that opens into canyons a few miles east. Stuart Tree Services works those steep back yards and the level streets above them — tree trimming to bring a crown back off the eaves, pruning that sets a young maple up for the next thirty winters, tree removal where a trunk has cracked along the seam. Valley weather arrives low and mean in spring, so storm damage cleanup means cutting a path through the mess first and then leaving the yard as though the storm had passed over it. Ropes, a saw and patience will bring a tree down between a garage and a fence without a bruise on either. The satisfaction is in the last look back from the road: clean grass, clear sky, everything squared away.
