About STUMPT LLC

Winter around Patoka does not always arrive as snow. Down here it comes just as often as freezing rain — a night of ticking sleet, and by morning every drive, every step and every gravel apron wears a quarter inch of glass, with the tank farm lights east of town glittering like something out of a dream. STUMPT LLC works that kind of weather, plowing what can be plowed and scraping and treating what cannot, opening drives and lots so people can get themselves out to the highway. What matters is straightforward: a surface you can stand on, and a car that backs out without sliding. Between storms the fields go brown and still and the county waits, and the work waits right along with it.
