Out in the Sag Valley the ground opens up, and snow that falls flat in town gets pushed sideways into drifts along Route 83 by morning. Evolution Outdoor Living meets it there — plowing driveways and lots, hand-shoveling walkways and entries, laying salt on the slopes where a car would otherwise slide back down. First light in January comes thin and blue over the ridge, and the truck has usually been running for hours before it arrives. What matters is the moment somebody steps out with a coffee and finds the drive already open, the apron cut back to the curb, the walk gritted and sure underfoot. None of that is complicated; all of it depends on being out there while the valley is still dark.
