About Absolutely Cutting Edge - ACE Lawn & Snow Services

The moraine that runs under Palos gives the ground its shape — long ridges of glacial gravel the roads climb and fall over on their way toward Swallow Cliff. Absolutely Cutting Edge - ACE Lawn & Snow Services works both halves of that ground's year: mowing, edging and string trimming when the oaks are in full leaf, plowing, shoveling and salting when the hill roads go slick. Winter mornings here start well before the sky does, and there is real satisfaction in a driveway opened clean to the pavement while the porch light is still the only light on the block. Summer brings a different pleasure — the stripe laid straight across a lawn, the border cut sharp where turf meets walk. Seasonal cleanups close each stretch out, hauling off whatever the wind has left behind. Ordinary work, done with attention, on ground that has been settling into these ridges since the ice pulled back.
