Oregon Lawn & Farm

About Oregon Lawn & Farm

Oregon sits on the Rock River where the valley walls climb into limestone and white pine, and evening light comes late into the low yards along the water. Lawns here are rarely simple — a slope toward the bluff road, a stand of oaks throwing shade half the day, a farm lot that turns to hayfield at the fence. Oregon Lawn & Farm mows and trims both kinds, town parcels and acreage, keeping the borders tight along walks and drives and clearing the leaf fall when the valley turns rust and gold. There is real satisfaction in the last pass of an evening cut, the lines running true toward the river. Ogle County grows things easily; the craft is in keeping it kept.
