About J. Camacho Lawncare

South Oak Park hears the Eisenhower all day, a low river of traffic running behind the bungalow blocks, and pays it no mind at all. J. Camacho Lawncare works those streets — the front squares of grass, the narrow side yards, the walks that run from stoop to sidewalk — mowing and trimming them through the warm months and clearing them of snow when winter closes in. Evening is the best light for the job, when the west sun comes straight down the east-west streets and lays every mowed line out flat. Nothing elaborate is being claimed here: cut grass, tidy edges, an open walk in January. That is the whole of it, and it gets done all the way to the corner.
