About Holdener's Landscaping

East of town the subdivisions give out and the land goes to corn stubble and open sky, and out there you feel how wide southern Illinois weather really is — you can watch it coming for an hour before it arrives. Holdener's Landscaping keeps lawns on that edge of O'Fallon through the growing months, mowing on a schedule, trimming, keeping the edges honest, and hauling leaves off the grass in autumn before they mat down. When the wind turns north the same ground takes snow, and the work becomes plowing driveways, opening walkways, and salting where ice sets up hard. Prairie loam grows a heavy lawn and holds a deep freeze; the whole year is those two facts trading places.
