About MK Construction & Snow LLC

February air rolling in off Lake Michigan, a couple of miles east, makes Northfield snow heavy and gray and stubborn. MK Construction & Snow LLC works it with plow and shovel — lots opened wide, residential drives taken down to the surface, walks and entries cleared and salted so nobody has to guess at the footing. Piles get pushed to the ends of a lot instead of the middle, because a place still has to function while it snows. Through a long night the trucks come back around, again and again, until the storm quits. Morning arrives and everything is simply open.
