Undercut Mowing

About Undercut Mowing

There is one strange week every year in Normal when the lawns are still green and the first snow comes down anyway, settling on grass that hasn't stopped growing yet. Undercut Mowing treats that week as the hinge of the year, trading the mower deck for the plow and turning to driveways, walks and lots instead. Plowing, shoveling, salting and ice control run from that first surprise straight through the long McLean County winter. Clearing a drive down to clean pavement has the same appeal as a well-cut lawn — one continuous, deliberate line, and nothing left ragged at the edges. By March the green comes back up through the last grey banks, and the whole thing turns over again.
