About Panda Services Inc

A northwest wind on a blizzard night turns a New Lenox parking lot into a moving thing — you clear one end and it fills in behind you. Panda Services Inc works those nights, plowing lots and driveways, opening walkways, and laying salt where packed snow has gone to glass. Out on this flat ground the drifting matters at least as much as whatever total the forecast promised. There is a deep satisfaction in an empty lot at five in the morning, black pavement showing and clean windrows banked along the edges. Whatever the sky does overnight, the morning still has to start on time.
