About Bishops Hauling and Removal Services

Ogden Avenue goes quiet around three in the morning, and that is when the work starts. Bishops Hauling and Removal Services runs snow off Naperville drives and lots while the town is still under its lamplight, blade down, headlights full of falling flakes. A clipper crosses the prairie fast here — six inches can arrive between the late news and the first commuter — so the job gets measured in how little anyone notices come daylight. There is real satisfaction in a windrow piled back square, a walk scraped to the concrete, a car that pulls out without a shudder. When the sun finally comes up over the DuPage flatland, the drives are bare and the day belongs to everybody else.
