About CLC Landscaping LLC

The Big Muddy makes its slow brown turn at the western edge of Murphysboro, and the fog it throws sits low in the yards until the sun finally clears the bluff. CLC Landscaping LLC works in that hour, laying straight mower lines across river-bottom grass that grows fast enough to keep anybody honest. A cut here isn't finished until the edge along the walk is clean enough to run a thumb down. Come January the same trucks go out with plows, pushing driveways open while the streetlights are still doing all the work. Weather reaches this town from the west, across the water, and there is a real satisfaction in being ready for it before it arrives.
