About Copple's Landscaping

The older streets of Mount Vernon are roofed in oak and maple, and in July the shade beneath them stays ten degrees kinder than the open ground. Copple's Landscaping mows and trims through those blocks at midday, working around root flares, stone borders and the low limbs that make a rider duck. Shade lawns are their own puzzle — thinner, slower, quick to scalp — so the deck comes up and the pace comes down. What they are after is turf that matches the trees above it: tidy, unhurried, cut level where it meets the walk. By evening the whole street smells like mowed grass.
