Bill's Lawn Services

About Bill's Lawn Services

Summer mornings in Mount Vernon start low and white, fog lying in the Casey Fork bottoms until the sun burns it off the fencerows. Bill's Lawn Services is out in that first clean hour, when dew still weighs the blades down and the cut comes off dark and even. Mowing, trimming and edging on yard after yard, until the lines run true from the porch steps back to the alley. There is real satisfaction in a lawn that looks combed — the border crisp at the walk, the clippings swept off the concrete, nothing left behind but the smell of it. Grass grows fast here in June, and staying ahead of it is the whole job.
