About Tommy Pollina Landscape Company

October turns the Mount Prospect parkways gold all at once, and then a Tuesday wind off the forest preserve to the south takes the whole thing down in an afternoon. Tommy Pollina Landscape Company shows up for that afternoon and the fifty others like it — mowing week on week through the growing season, then hauling the leaf piles off before the first hard freeze glues them to the lawn. There is a satisfaction in a yard put to bed properly: turf cut low and even, nothing left to rot beneath the drifts. When winter arrives in earnest, the trucks go back out to those same addresses and open the driveways again. A village looks after itself one property at a time, and these are some of the hands doing it.
