Preston Bush Excavating

About Preston Bush Excavating

Winter arrives at Morrison sideways, coming off open fields where the corn stubble runs out toward the Rock River. Preston Bush Excavating works those hours, plowing driveways along the section roads and opening the aprons in town before traffic on the Lincoln Highway wakes up. There is a real satisfaction in a lot scraped down to dark blacktop with the windrow set where it won't blow back by noon. Walks are shoveled their full width, and salt goes on the shaded stretches that hold ice long after a thaw. By the time the light reaches the timber over toward Lake Carlton, the day can start on time.
