About Anderson And Sons LTD

Three in the morning, and out past the grain elevator the wind is combing snow off the open fields and laying it back down across the section roads. Anderson And Sons LTD is out in it, plowing and shoveling drives and lots around Morris so the first cars of the day roll onto bare blacktop. When the ground turns green again the blades come off and the mowers go on, and the work becomes weekly cuts, trimmed edges, grass kept in hand through a long Grundy County summer. It is plain work and it shows plainly — a yard that looks cared for, a driveway nobody had to think about. That is the whole ambition, and it is enough.
