On Call Enterprises

About On Call Enterprises

Snow in the Quad Cities rarely announces itself at a convenient hour; it comes across the flats on a west wind at two in the morning and keeps refilling the same open lots all night. On Call Enterprises is built for exactly that — plowing, shoveling walks and entries, and putting down salt so the ice never gets a start. The satisfaction is in the arithmetic of a storm: how many passes, which way to windrow, where the piles go so tomorrow's melt does not undo tonight's work. By the time Moline is headed to work, the lots are open and the walks are gritty and sure.
