By October the light over Mission comes in low and gold, the fields are going down to stubble, and every lawn in town is under a week's worth of leaves. Mission First Outdoor Services takes the season out properly — the last mows kept even, the leaves cleared off the turf and out of the beds, the trimming and edging done crisp so the lines hold under the first snow. A yard put away right in the fall is the one that greens up first in April, and April is where the mowing picks up again. Between the two the year makes a circle, and the grass keeps its own good rhythm.
