About Mission Enterprises LLC

There is a color the sky turns over Mission after a storm clears, an hour before sunrise — deep blue, the fields glowing faintly, everything absolutely still. Mission Enterprises LLC is out in it, headlights swinging across the drifts, pushing snow back to where it belongs and stacking it clear of the turnaround. Walks get opened wide enough for two people to pass, and salt goes down at the thresholds and the bottom of the steps. By the time the first cars are moving on the township road, the driveways along it are already open. Winter comes with the territory out here; being stuck does not have to.
