About Greenland Tree Service

There is nothing to hide behind in Minonk. The prairie runs flat out to the turbines on the horizon, and every tree in town is one somebody chose and somebody has to look after. Greenland Tree Service does that looking after — pruning young hardwoods so they will stand up to a Woodford County gale, trimming limbs off the porch roof and the alley, removing the silver maples that split down the middle the way silver maples do. When straight-line wind crosses this country and leaves wood everywhere, storm damage cleanup restores order block by block. On a still evening, with the water tower catching the last of the light, a street of well-kept trees is the whole difference between a town and a grid of houses.
