Freezing rain is the hard one. Snow you can push, but a quarter inch of glaze across a Route 120 lot at five in the morning is another problem entirely, and it is the problem S&K Services gets up for. Plowing, lot clearing, walkway work and ice control run across McHenry's commercial strips and the residential drives behind them. The measure of a night is not how much came down; it is whether anybody slipped. When sun finally hits wet black asphalt where the glaze had been, the night is done and it was worth doing.
