Pistakee Bay runs loud with boats all summer and goes silent by December, and the yards along those channels swing with it. RNY LANDSCAPING LLC works both ends of that swing: mowing, trimming and cleanups while the water is open, plowing and salting once the docks ice in and the drives fill with drift. Lots near the Chain O'Lakes tend to be narrow and full of corners, which makes for patient work and a satisfying last pass. In winter the aim is plain — pavement instead of powder, before anyone has to leave for the day. The route runs through McHenry and out toward Johnsburg, Spring Grove and the lake towns north of them.
