About McHenry Turf Services

There is a stretch of July evening when the light comes in low over the ball diamonds at Petersen Park and every blade of grass throws a shadow of its own. McHenry Turf Services chases that look on ordinary lawns: mowing with the deck set for the season, running the trimmer down fence lines, cutting a clean edge at the drive. Turf answers to routine more than to anything else — same day, same pass, week after week from the first flush of spring to the last warm stretch of fall. A lawn kept on schedule holds its color into the dry weeks of August, when the neglected ones go to straw. That rhythm carries across McHenry and out through Johnsburg, Ringwood and Wonder Lake.
