About Luca M.Z. Landscaping

Boone Creek slips along under the footbridges downtown on its way to the Fox, and by the middle of May the grass on either side of it is coming up faster than anyone can keep ahead of. That is the week Luca M.Z. Landscaping waits for — dew still sitting on the blades, the mower opening its first line of the year across a McHenry yard. The work is mowing, trimming and edging, with the spring and fall cleanups that bookend a Midwestern growing year. A sharp edge along a driveway is a small thing, but it is the thing people register from the street without knowing why. Yards get looked after from the older blocks near the river out to the newer streets past Route 31.
